If you have thick tresses along with wavy style too then you can try out any hairstyle which match your face type that make play with your locks . There are many hairstyles for thick and wavy hair and all the hairdos are great looking in their own way.
There might be plenty of hairstyles for wavy hair out there, but if you don't take care of your hair, and manage those gorgeous curls, then your hair is going to own you, and take over your style, ruining everything in the process.
When you get a haircut for wavy hair, it is always best to choose a good leave in conditioner or cream, that is designed for wavy or curly hair. And make sure you only apply it to the bottom 3/4 of your hair. Do not want it to touch your scalp at all. Just spread it onto both palms, and scrunch it in gently.
Its best to massage the scalp, as this will loosen any potential dandruff and oil, so that it can be rinsed away, and it also promotes good hair growth.Always rinse with cool water, as hot water or even medium water will dry it out even more, and make it go all fizzy on you. Gently blot your hair with a towel, just so it's not soaking wet anymore, but not fully dry.
Do not touch while it is drying. This will most definitely cause your hair to frizz up. If you absolutely must get it dry as soon as possible, then you can use the blow dryer. But just make sure it is at is coolest and slowest setting, WITH a diffuser, and ONLY until its about 80% dry, to avoid the fizz. Just do not blow dry every day, this would damage and dry out your hair, just do it when it needs to be done.
Turn your hair upside down while spraying the roots. Do this after you just washed, and use a texture or volume spray. Massage it right into the pores. This will give your hair body and texture. Apply straightening balm through your hair before you style it, if you want a more naturally coarse wavy hair.
Using a combo of everyday conditioner, and some mousse, you will be able to give your hair some shine, and also aid it in styling.
You would emulsify the conditioner in your hands, but before it dries the skin on your hands, apply it to the middle and ends of your hair. This will help bind your hair together, so that it will not separate, as well as encourage the curling of your hair.
Only get touch ups as need, don't go getting a full perm again, unless of course you really need it. If you are taking proper care of it, this shouldn't happen for awhile. Remember, perms in general can be pretty damaging to your hair, as the chemicals used are pretty powerful, and should only be used if Absolutely necessary.
